Jean jackets are one fashion item that will never go out of style. They’re one of the most versatile pieces in your closet! But sometimes you can feel like you’re getting into Canadian tuxedo territory if you pair your jean jacket with denim on bottom. It’d definitely doable but can be tricky to pull off!

1. Black Jeans
Ok let’s get the obvious one of the way, especially since I mentioned it above! If you’re wary of double denim, black jeans are a great option. Black denim goes great with all different denim jackets. I reach most often for my skinny jeans, but your favorite cut will work just as well.
They’re really versatile and can be worn with all kinds of shoes — sneakers, boots, flats, whatever!
2. Dark Grey Jeans
If you’re looking for a pair of pants that’s a little different, consider other denim shades besides black and blue. I love these gray jeans — they can be styled in all kinds of ways. Make them a little bit edgy or go feminine. They’re also great for wearing classic pieces like the striped tee I’m wearing here.
3. Burgundy Pants
Of course jeans aren’t your only options! Your favorite jean jacket will look great with almost any color pants. Try bright colors or rich deep hues, like these great burgundy corduroy cropped pants. I love the extra mix of texture that the corduroy brings to the look.

4. Camouflage Leggings
You can dress down a classic denim jacket for a more casual look. And one that is perfect for the colder months! In fact, your jean jacket is a great way to level up your leggings and sweatshirt look. It’s a little more put together than your puffer or just wearing a hoodie.
These camo leggings are some of my personal favorites but you can of course wear black leggings or whatever color you like best. Cozy, casual vibes all the way.
5. Flare Jeans
An easy way to change up your outfit formula a little bit is to change the cut on your jeans! These are black but a dark wash denim can work just as well. I feel like my look is a bit elevated with these flares and a pair of loafers.
6. Cargo Pants
A white tee and relaxed fit cargo pants make a great and easy denim jacket outfit. The olive green is a neutral but doesn’t risk blending in with the denim. The perfect pairing!
7. Faux Leather Joggers
If you’re looking for a slightly more edgy look, these faux leather joggers are the perfect option! Especially with an embellished jacket like mine. This is a great look for a concert, party, or date night.

8. White Jeans
When I bought this oversized denim jacket, I wasn’t quite sure how I’d style it. But I threw on a pair of white jeans, and I was hooked! The distressed denim jacket brings some visual interest to the plain white pants, and the white pants bring a little sophistication to the jacket. This is also a great option to go with a black denim jacket.
