My daughter turned eight, and let me tell you – picking gifts at this age is a whole new ballgame. They’re not little anymore, but they’re definitely not tweens either. They want stuff that feels “big kid” cool without being too babyish. I’m all about finding gifts that will be interesting for more than 5 mintues and anything that keeps her off screens!

Similar to the PAWS books, these are another set of books that 8 year old girls really enjoy. Getting books that are part of a series makes reading so enjoyable for kids! She will enjoy looking forward to the next book in the series and you will enjoy watching her read. The Animal Rescue Friends books are a little bit longer than the PAWS books.
11. Mad Libs
This is an oldie but a goodie! Mad Libs seem to never go out of style. These books will create laughter and fun for everyone participating. And as a bonus, your 8 year old will get some extra English lessons!
