5 Minute Makeup Routine

Most mornings feel like a race from the moment I wake up. Between getting the kids ready, grabbing coffee, and running through my to do list, I do not have thirty minutes to spend on makeup. That is why I have learned to keep things simple without giving up a polished look.

Over the years I have found products that are quick to apply, feel good on my skin, and multitask beautifully. This 5 minute routine is my go to for busy days, helping me feel fresh and confident while still getting out the door on time.

1. Even Out Your Skintone

I start every quick makeup look with IT Cosmetics CC+ Cream SPF 50. It is my favorite because it gives me coverage, hydration, and sun protection all in one step. I apply it with a foundation brush to get a smooth, even finish in just seconds. The glow it gives is so natural that I can skip extra highlighter on busy mornings.

2. Natural Contour

A little contour adds dimension and warmth to my face. I love the Rare Beauty Contour Stick because it blends so easily and looks natural on the skin. I apply it under my cheekbones, along my jawline, and on the sides of my nose, then blend with my Sephora brush. It takes just a few seconds but makes my whole face look more sculpted and defined.

3. Create a Lasting Base for Eyeshadow

Eyeshadow Primer

I start my eye makeup with the Urban Decay Eyeshadow Primer Potion. This keeps my eyeshadow from creasing and makes the color look more vibrant all day. I swipe a small amount over my lids and blend it out with my finger. It takes almost no time but makes such a difference in how fresh my eye makeup looks hours later.

4. Keep the Eyes Soft and Simple

I reach for my Urban Decay Naked2 Basics palette almost every day. The matte shades are perfect for a natural look and they blend so easily. I sweep a light shade all over my lid, then add a slightly deeper shade in the crease for definition. It takes less than a minute and instantly makes my eyes look more awake without feeling overdone.

5. Add A Pop of Color

A quick pop of blush and bronzer makes all the difference in bringing life back to my face. I love the Dibs Beauty Desert Island Duo because it has both products in one stick, which saves time and space. I swipe the bronzer under my cheekbones and along my forehead, then blend with a fluffy brush. A touch of pink blush on the apples of my cheeks instantly makes me look more awake and refreshed.

6. Volumizing Lashes

Mascara is the one step I never skip. Even on the busiest mornings, a quick coat makes me look more awake and pulled together. I reach for L’OrĆ©al Paradise Big Deal for volume and Thrive Causemetics Liquid Lash Extensions for length. Sometimes I layer them for extra impact, but even one coat of either makes my lashes stand out in seconds.

7. Brows Define and Lift

EyeBrow Pencil | Brow Gel

Brows do so much to shape your face and open up your eyes. I use the Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Wiz in Soft Brown to fill in any sparse spots, then blend with the spoolie for a soft finish. A quick coat of Anastasia Tinted Brow Gel keeps them in place and gives a lifted, put together look.

8. Finish with a Lip

Tinted Lip Balm | Lip Gloss

The last step is a quick swipe of color on the lips. I keep it easy with products that add a touch of shine and feel comfortable to wear. Jones Road Lip Gloss gives a pretty wash of color, while Julep Beauty Tinted Balm adds moisture and just the right amount of pigment. Either one pulls the whole look together in seconds.
