Running has been a part of my life for years now, and it’s one of those activities that has taught me so much about myself, my body, and how to push through when I think I can’t go any further.

Over time, I’ve realized that the right gear is essential to making every run feel like a win. From finding shoes that support my feet through miles of pavement to little accessories that make my runs feel easier and more enjoyable, I’ve figured out what really works.

In this post, I’m sharing my tried-and-true running essentials that I swear by! Whether I’m going for a quick jog or gearing up for a long-distance race. These are the pieces that make all the difference, and I know they’ll help you too!

1. Good Running Shoes

These Hoka Gaviota 5s have been my go-to for daily runs and shorter distances. The stability and cushioning are incredible, and they offer that perfect balance of support without feeling too heavy.

The Glide 4ā€ Shorts, on the other hand, are my go-to for any run. They’re breathable, light, and fit just right, with pockets that hold my phone and water bottle for longer runs!

I never realized how much a good cap could make a difference until I started wearing this one. It’s super lightweight and keeps my head cool even on the hottest summer days. Plus, the reflective trim is a game-changer for those early morning or evening runs when visibility is key.

5. Headphones

The high-waist design provides a little tummy control, and the pockets are perfect for holding your phone or keys. Plus, they’re not see-through, so I never have to worry about them during my run.

10. Recovery Slides

After a race and during a lot of training, these slides are a must-have in my recovery routine. The arch support, shock absorption, and rocker bottom really make a difference in relieving pressure off my heels. They’re perfect for letting my feet relax after a hard run, and they’re so comfortable that I wear them around the house all day.
