The 4th of July is almost here!
I love any reason to dress up in a “themed” kinda way and the 4th of July is no exception. I can always use a 4th of July outfit inspiration since I seem to be figuring it out at the last minute each year! Last year Roy and I had coordinating outfits including his “first 4th” onesie that I was SO happy he was able to wear (my due date was June 28th so there was a good chance he wasn’t going to be here for the 4th if I went late!).
Granted he was less than 2 weeks old so our 4th celebration consisted of strapping him on and walking up to our town parade where I proceeded to freak out because he might be too hot or the firetrucks were too loud or what if he needed to eat – I wasn’t ready to nurse in public yet! We all survived and this year we can all actually enjoy the parade a bit more! 🙂
So if you need some 4th of July outfit inspiration and don’t want to go out and buy stuff specifically for the 4th, here are a few ideas!
First up, a casual look.
This is my go to since my 4th typically consists of long walks, standing around at the parade and grilling out (we actually don’t do much fireworks watching…). Easily swap out the American flag TOMs shoes for a pair of sandals or colored flats in red, white or blue and you’re good to go!
If you’re a dress kinda-girl, here’s a look for you!
A simple white sundress (or swap it out with denim/blue or red) paired with gold jewelry and espadrilles is perfect for brunch with the girls or drinks with your man before the fireworks. Add a red scarf or cardigan and you’ve completed your red, white + blue look!
If you can’t imagine leaving the house without red heels and a red pout, this look’s for you!
Simple skinny jeans paired with the perfect red strappy heel and layered on gold jewelry – it’s everything you likely already own but perfect for the 4th!
So there you have it! 3 outfit inspirations for wherever your day takes you. What’s your go to look for the 4th?
